How to resize a photo or signature for an online form

  1. Pick your form from the list. The required size in pixels/cm and KB is filled in automatically. If your form isn’t listed, choose Custom size and type the numbers from the notification.
  2. Upload your photo or scanned signature. A phone camera photo works fine.
  3. Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) sits nicely in the frame.
  4. Download. The tool compresses the image so it lands inside the allowed KB range, and sets the correct DPI.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. All resizing, cropping and compression happens inside your browser on your own device. Your photo never leaves your phone or computer.

How do I reduce a photo to under 50 KB (or 20 KB)?

Choose a preset or enter your maximum in Size settings → Max size (KB). The tool finds the best JPG quality that stays under that limit.

My form needs at least 10 KB, but my image is smaller. What do I do?

Enter the minimum in Min size (KB). The tool raises the quality and, if needed, adds harmless padding inside the JPG so it meets the minimum without changing how it looks.

What is DPI and does it matter?

DPI tells programs how big the image should be when printed. When a form gives a size in cm or inches, the pixel size is calculated from the DPI, and the DPI is saved inside the file.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern mobile browser. Drag with one finger to move and pinch to zoom.
